We Broke Twitter Again

Yes, that’s a fact! Twitter as of 5 mins ago just broke down and we are all stranded with nothing to do, well actually I have plenty to do but what will all the twitter addicts do? Anyways we’ve heard and seen the avatar issues in the past few hours and that pissed a few people off including me. (twitter had avatar issues where you avartar does not show up and the default one does)

But can you blame Twitter for breaking down? No! There’s a huge influx of people using it and that’s a fact according to Mashable’s article.

Close to 20M hits just in march alone. Twitter has done well but maybe its time to upgrade servers and some coding issues. Either way I’m proud of what twitter has done so far. Take the poll below and tell me what you think?

  • I understand Twitter wasn't ready for its sudden surge in popularity but I can't really even blame them now! I mean there's no telling how long they'll remain popular or how many people will end up twittering. I guess all Twitter can do is respond to it's increasing use as it comes to them right? Hell either way it should be interesting when Twitter and Facebook collide haha.

    I'm not sure if Twitter has a revenue model yet, but, it is being used more and more by both individuals and businesses alike. I don't foresee this "we broke twitter (again" ending any time soon unless there is increased infrastructure on the Twitter "campus".

    Your post is now two months old. I tweeted during the season finale of LOST, an American TV series. So many people were tweeting during the show that Tweets were backed up for as long as 90 minutes or more. As the followers of LOST tweeted, American Idol fans were also tweeting, adding to the backup.

    On one side this is a problem for Twitter users, on the other, how cool is it to be participating as an audience real time across a country! Where do we go from here? How can Twitter be used to bring groups together in ways it did for the fans of LOST and American Idol?

    I think were all are still learning how Twitter can be used in many different ways.
